All by a chance encounter

Beach, friends, sun and vacations are the perfect combination, as I could tell two years ago in a trip to the beach with four of my best friends of high school.

We had a lot of time without seen each other, so when we accidentally bumped into ourselves in a bar, we inmediately planned a memorably trip, to reconnect and have a lots of fun. Luckily for us, our  families live in Copiapó -in consecuence we had the very best beaches of the whole country to visit-. One of us also had a car, so  our mobility went smooth.

We spent the first part of the day in Caldera,  eating the most delicious seafood “empanadas” and visiting the family of one of our friend. Next we went to Flamenco, where my parents have a house and we did a lot of sunbathing and played volleyball. In the afternoon, we went to Chañaral where we made a barbacue.  Then we went to  party in the beach, where we danced and sang a lot with strangers in a campfire.

It was just one day because we had jobs that summer, but really made it: That day we felt just like in the old happy days

POST 2: A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

I would really like to visit Belgium. I had a belgian classmate in high school and she told me a lot of great stuff about it. My reasons to choose this country are not just about their famous chocolates  (from whom I very fond) and cuisine, it is also about the marvellous landscapes, history, beautiful art and, above all,  the major role that plays folklore in that country. It takes a lot of elements of catholicism and paganism, just like our own religious festivities, and they also have big parades like La Tirana, so I think that it would be extremly nice be part of all of it with the perspective of a visitor.
I know that Belgium has very good colleges, but I don`t really know  how good  their anthropology schools are, so I would have to search about it before thinking in study there. I would prefer studying in England or in U.S for the matter, but if I had the opportunity I`d totally willing to work there, like in a historic cemetery or something like that.

POST 1: FIRST TERM: GOOD AND BAD POINTS

The first term of this year was a very challenging period. It tested my commitment with my career and friends so, as result, I grew up quite a lot.

I had to fight against the academic and family pressure of passing one subject that I had failed the last year, so I was constantly worried about it. It took me a lot of time and discipline to overcome the situation, but in the end I had my victory, so I am very happy now. On the positive side, because of my obsession to pass physiology I discovered what I really want to do on my professional career, so defining the theme of my thesis was an easy task.  Also,  I learned about of the basics of pretty exciting subjects of archaeology.

At the beggining of the term I was jogging and doing sother physical exercise but I had to stop because of the chaos of the end of semester. My other free-time activities like reading, hanging out with my friends and playing bass were also posponed because of the lack of time, but now I making up all the lost time.
